Poem #10 " Payment Of Victory"

Payment Of Victory 

Is it more than what you could ever want

A feeling more savory than sweet

Is there no creeping regret in those victories 

Showing them more than they've could imagine 

But medals have ghost, and ghost payments 

Cries of the fallen only adds to your ego 

Glory to the victor they shout as you rise

Your victory paid for by loss  

your victory is your demise
