ffs!!!

i had some middling expectations for this one, and my my my did i not expect it to be this good!!! idk why i thought it to be mid, maybe it's cuz while i like franz ferdinand i can't really listen to more than 3 of their songs a day (i've never listened to one of their albums, so idk about the rest of their sound aside from take me out, the dark of the matinée, evil eye, no you girls, and this (ff)fire). i loved the combination of "typical" sparks sound with franz ferdinand tho!! it was really refreshing both after listening to all sparks for almost a whole month and liking franz ferdinand, though not superbly so! russell and alex have like almost the same vocal style, alex's is just deeper. i loved the song that had the typical franz voice sound but over russell's voice though i can't remember which one it was. their blend was fabulous it got hard to tell when they were singing at the same time !! (which is a slay imo)

faves: so desu ne (carrying a hello kitty uzi!!!!! mecore!!!!!!!!!!!), little guy from the suburbs (french... also mecore), piss off (!!!! i felt so in the mood to tell everyone to piss off), call girl (the british slang...), collaborations don't work (i love how it's a lie and also how the song just keeps going), johnny delusional (aren't we all tho), save me from myself (it's kind of a little danger days core), look at me (sobbing bawling my eyes out ron mael coming in clutch with the relatable lyrics), a violent death (so emo...), so many bridges (danger days core again! but the opposite (telling people to kill themselves while danger days is trying to not), grrrrr all the songs are so good but i feel like i write too much!!!! (i'm gonna have to revise the earlier ones to make them more accurate... or not cuz i'm really lazy.)

this cover is uh. not my favorite. yk there are definitely better covers in the sparks catalogue and in the franz ferdinand catalogue, um. they tried their best to get everyone in there and i appreciate the hard work and i like the composition... idk it just doesn't work for me. not horrible tho.
