Ingredients
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- unbaked 9 inch pie shell
- 1 quart of strawberries
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 1/3 cups of water
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- Pre heat oven 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 Celsius)
- Combine eggs, sugar, and salt
- Add milk in slowly and stir in vanilla
- Pour into pie shell
- Bake for 40 minutes and set into fridge to chill
- Wash Strawberries
- Simmer 1 cup of berries, sugar, and 1 cup of water for 15 minutes
- Mix remaining water with cornstarch and add to cooked berries
- Cook until thick, stir constantly and let cool
- Add uncooked berries
- Spoon over pie and set in the fridge to chill
