Strawberry Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons of salt 
  • 3 cups of milk 
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla 
  • unbaked 9 inch pie shell 
  • 1 quart of strawberries 
  • 1 cup of sugar 
  • 1 1/3 cups of water 
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch 
Directions 
  1. Pre heat oven 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 Celsius) 
  2. Combine eggs, sugar, and salt 
  3. Add milk in slowly and stir in vanilla 
  4. Pour into pie shell 
  5. Bake for 40 minutes and set into fridge to chill 
  6. Wash Strawberries 
  7. Simmer 1 cup of berries, sugar, and 1 cup of water for 15 minutes 
  8. Mix remaining water with cornstarch and add to cooked berries
  9. Cook until thick, stir constantly and let cool
  10. Add uncooked berries 
  11. Spoon over pie and set in the fridge to chill
