Okayyy. It feels kinda weird to tell anyone about this, but- I've done some bad things in my past, and even near present. I've gossiped, lied, wished people bad things, struggled with addictions.. and now I'm trying to get better!... through Christ. It's really weird. I just had a sudden interest in reading the bible and learning more about Christianity a few weeks ago, and now here I am, praying and going to church as often as I can. I really don't know what I'm doing or what I should do. After all I've done in life, I feel pretty irredeemable and unlovable in the eyes of God and Jesus. They probably abandoned me a while ago and I still haven't realized it. But hey, I'm trying. Idek if anything I just said makes sense. I don't know what I'm doing tbh. Anyone got any tips for me?

hi there !! (hope you can forgive the random comment LOL but I wanted to offer you some support) I think it's wonderful that you're turning to Christ & are seeking forgiveness- if it's any consolation, your awareness of where you've gone wrong in the past & your willingness to acknowledge & repent for these things, is certainly being seen & appreciated by the Lord- even if it doesn't feel like it. remember that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins so we can be forgiven- thus there is no such thing as "irredeemable"- at least to me.
perhaps it might bring you some comfort to ask him for guidance in prayer? I'm not very good at praying myself but I don't think it has to be a formal affair; it could be as simple as "dear Heavenly Father, I want to show you my love & gratitude for your mercy & grace, but I'm not sure how- I'd like to ask for your help in finding ways to become closer with you & Christ" & then you can be mindful of the directions you're being lead in with your religious exploration! above all else you should listen to yourself & go with what feels right, not just what sounds right (if that makes sense)
