Happy first day of fall! I mistakenly told my friend yesterday that that was the first day of fall lol.
So... Monday was regular, I guess. On Tuesday, I toured a super fun manufacturing facility. Along with the tour, we did an interview workshop, which consisted of being asked an interview question and answering appropriately. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the interview workshop; talking with professional programmers about a field I am currently budding into was nice. It just made me so happy. I was driven to and from the facility by some of my classmates. It's a little weird, usually either my parents drive, or I drive myself. Oh well, I better get used to it.
On Wednesday, I had my lab as usual. One of my classmates (who is not in my bio lab) came in and he said hi to me. Well, for whatever reason this prompted my lab partners to revert to a mental age of 10. They teased me about him! Like what, no...DUDE! My cheeks probably flushed such a bright red, but that's alright since it's been a while since I've felt something like that. It's funny though if you consider the fact that I don't like him like that, and he probably doesn't like me that way either. He has (younger?) sisters, meaning he isn't weird about women like most other men. Yeah, it means that he's more pleasant to be around, but that doesn't mean he wants to date me lol. Anyway, weird relationship rant over.
On Thursday, I went to the Web Development Club. It went great. We made a website that uses data from an API to display information. However, we all got rate limited on the API key lol. It's been a couple of days, so I need to see if I can retry. NASA really went get rate limited, loser. On Friday, I got an iced matcha latte from Dunkin'. It tasted like slightly sweet milk. Not complaining though since matcha kind of tastes like grass. The cashier was surprisingly chipper at 7 a.m. and asked if I had any plans for Friday, and I responded no. I overheard him talking about being a "real" barista while I was leaving. I'm glad he has so much passion here, but I do hope he gets his dream job. After drinking my latte, I entered the study room I was renting. The room was alright, but I could hear a strange hum inside and the floor was far from clean.
Friday night I went to an event where you could decorate cookies. It was a chill end to the week. Today I got some McDonald's for lunch. It tastes good, and it's cheap, but I probably shouldn't be eating it. Also, I forgot to order water, and it was quite hot today, ugh. However, the water would've been expensive, I probably just should've brought my water bottle. I also did some shopping and cleaned up some of my room. I need to make sure to wash my sheets soon, October is coming!
Oh, and another part of my Halloween costume arrived yesterday! My Steve Burns shirt is here. I tried it on; it's super big on me, but it only comes in men's sizes, so what else should I have expected? Compared to my tan nylon skirt, the shirt is of a much better quality, likely because it's from Etsy. It's also quite a warm shirt. The buttons near the collar should help with temperature control. Considering that I paid over $40 for this shirt, I hope to incorporate it into other outfits just like the skirt. Also, it's just so...pretty. The dark and light green rugby stripes are so pleasing to the eye. I could stare at it forever. Maybe that's just the nostalgia talking.
Anyway, I've been typing for too long. I hope to have a good last week of September.
Boa noite,
