two hands one mouth (live in europe)!!!
this album tore me apart and built me back up again. we all know how much of a slut i am for ron playing piano... i am addicted to this album frankly. when i first put it on and i heard the overture tears were so close from falling from my eyes and they would have had i not been in the car. it's just so heartwarming to know that there are other people out there who love sparks as much as i do (and don't get me wrong, i feel this way about literally every artist i listen to, just for some reason sparks is so underground the feeling is multiplied) and i love how sparks was able to get to the point where it was just them on tour, without a touring band with them. just two brothers on stage, who knows what hijinks they got up to!! i just wish there was a specific kimono my house song on the tracklist though...
faves: two hands one mouth (that's all i need to satisfy you. aside from the obvious innuendo that sparks so iconically masters every time, it's just true about them as a band!!!! all i need is russ singing and ron playing piano (and ron singing)), sparks overture (ughhh it fills me with so much glee hearing all these songs from their catalogue being compiled together in a lovely ron solo and i married myself is so underrated i need to make a sparks jukebox musical, put that song in it, and cast myself in the role that sings it), propaganda straight into at home at work at play makes me stim in the best way possible, the wedding of jacqueline kennedy to russell mael (WHEN HE SAYS "I DO" IMMEDIATELY AHFAHDFHADFAHAHAAHAHAHAA), my baby's taking me home (another one i almost cried at...), the number one song in heaven (also almost cried), beat the clock (you gotta beat the cock), singing in the shower (!!!! omg!! a non-sparks song and it goes craazay!!!!), excerpts from the seduction of ingmar bergman (rrrrrrrrrarrgh), sherlock holmes (the autism... oh the autism is autisming) when i say all of them, i mean all of them (i didn't mention some because i've raved and raved about them previously yk yk, they are the same amazing songs just a different flavour of amazing).
this is such an amazing album cover and i think it beautifully captures the essence of being live yk, very dark atmosphere with the lights turned down, then spotlights focusing on what is important. looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream and i love it. fabulous. amazing album
