the seduction of ingmar bergman!!!

as a musical theatre nerd, THIS WAS PHENOMENAL!!!! it hit all the important parts of a recording, yk a good amount of dialogue to get the story across while still keeping it mostly music. though, i do recognize that it is an opera and also the recording is the entirety of the show essentially, so it is mostly sung through. but still! ron is amazing at storytelling through his lyrics, it was inevitable that sparks went in this direction. i love the combination of musical styles too, there's rock, pop, true opera, spoken word, etc. i'm dying over here!!!!!

faves: limo driver (welcome to hollywood) (RON?????? SINGING!!!!!!! AHAHDFJKADHRWEAIUSD!!!! he sounds like kermit the frog AND I LOVE ITKAS ETOWEHRASLDKFZ,NM mr. bergman sssir), mr. bergman, how are you? (ADDICTED TO THE GUITARS), he's home (bergman! bergman! bergman! bergman!), en route to the beverly hills hotel (sorry hit the curb I'M SOBBING I'M SOBBING I LOVE YOU RON!!!), 1956 cannes film festival (what can i say, french), hollywood tour bus (rust,y,..), oh my god (the repetition...), i must not be hasty (yess!!!! call out the industry!!), why do you take that tone with me (it's just so captivating!!!), quiet on set (i love how he immediately says cut), i could go on and on all the songs are amazing...

the cover is so minimalist, i love grayscale sparks albums !! i've never seen ingmar bergman before lol i will just assume this is him. i saw someone remake the cover but with ron mael instead of ingmar bergman and i went feral. uh. overall pretty slay album cover sparks albums never miss
