Anti-inflammatory concoction

The list of health benefits from this little concoction is quite a long one. It can be taken as both a preventative measure for immune system health, and during active sickness, regulates blood sugar levels, boosts energy, aids with digestion, a great addition to any weight loss diet, and is hugely detoxifying! Just the turmeric in it alone is a strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, and helps with brain function. The list goes on.

You may have previously seen this recipe or a version of it floating around different social media outlets but I will reiterate it here regardless because I think it's worth including!

It is preferred that all the ingredients are organic but just work with what you can! I always say, it's better to eat GMO pesticide good foods than no good foods. But that's a matter of opinion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)

-1 Tablespoon Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (one with "the mother" [The BRAGGS brand is perfect])

-1/4 teaspoon turmeric

-1/4 teaspoon cayenne

-A small pinch of black pepper (even a few granules is fine)

-1 teaspoon raw honey

-1/2 cup warm filtered spring water to blend everything together

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT NOTES!

-This mixture can be very spicy/ harsh/ strong especially at first. It is comparable to taking 2 giant shots of fireball. I almost always have a glass of water on the side to use as a "chaser" You can ALWAYS adjust amounts to suit your needs.

-The black pepper is essential for full activation of the anti-inflammatory efficiency of the turmeric. Do not skip it.

-The vinegar with the "mother" is important because the mother is what is keeping the good bacteria in the vinegar alive and thriving.

-The original instructions are to take this every morning on an empty stomach for a few weeks at a time. Use your best judgement and listen to your body. This may be too harsh for YOUR empty stomach.

I often take it after my coffee in the morning so there's bit of a buffer with the fat from the coffee.

-Brush you teeth 30 mins after drinking if you can! The lemon and ACV can be very harsh on your enamel especially over a prolonged period.

-I am not a health care professional. Always do your own research and ask your doctor about things that may be in question. You know, disclaimer jargon.
