Escargot and NINA, sister projects to revive classic instant messenger clients such as MSN/WLM, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM are currently in financial trouble. The projects don't even have enough money to keep the servers running and one of the project staff is in desperate need of money for medical bills and is facing eviction. Today Escargot and NINA servers went down as they didn't have enough money to pay for hosting their services.

Donating gives you extra perks such as beta and alpha access to their services including AIM, as well as access to their development channels on Discord, donator-only news and also an exclusive poster for Future Proof tier patrons who stay subscribed for at least 3 months.

That's so sad! I found out about Escargot recently and really wanted to sign up, finally leave discord and the likes behind
They managed to gather enough money to pay for their hosting, so their services are back up and you should be able to sign up there now. Still, it sucks that they're so underfunded :( The main dev also seems really stressed because of all this. I really hope they manage to pull through because those projects are just too good to let them die.
