[CICADA OF THE WEEK] Huechys sanguinea

This week's cicada of the week is Huechys sanguinea, commonly known as the black and scarlet cicada! Huechys sanguinea is native to South and Southeast Asia and can be found the the countries of India, Myanmar, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand! They also inhabit the Malay Peninsula, Hainan Island, Borneo, Timor, and Sumatra. This cicada can reach a length of 20 millimeters and they emerge synchronously in April.
