SPOOKTOBER 2023

WELCOME TO...

http://www.rasaint.net/ - Glitter Graphics

(in which i liked writing bad scary movie reviews so much that i just didn't stop!)

Honestly, it's a little difficult for me to be active on SpaceHey...everything-wise. Like I just have no time and it's kind exhausting...even though I didn't really do that much when I was active. But I like blogging, and I like writing scary movie reviews and REVELING IN THE AESTHETIC. So I will continue to do that.

Currently super duper loving Halloween! Like my Halloween spirit is at an all-time high this year. Honestly the pandemic kind of made Halloween kind of sad for me. But now I've got that t boy autism swag and HALLOWEEN HALLOWEEN HALLOWEEN!

I'm working my way through Rolling Stone's 101 Best Horror Movies. A list that I sort-of trust.

Someone explain to me why horror movies are such a potent form of escapism when it's literally just just people going through terrible things.

movie name (year): ?/10
review goes here

the nun 2 (2023): 7/10
ummmm i have not seen a single movie in the conjuring universe. but i will now! i really liked this movie honestly! like the costume design and set and overall aesthetic was really working for me. and i love the nun! i love valak! like he's super cool like this was a cool sort of creature feature scary monster movie for me. like

um when i saw it i was absolutely balls out of my mind from concerta. no idea why. absolutely shitloading depressed. saw this the day after it came out in a theater by myself with like total 5 other people in this GIGANTIC place. one of which was a toddler! and it wasn't that scared. i really liked the jumpscares in this. would watch again, probably in different circumstances.

the exorcist (1973): 9/10
I REALLY LIKED THIS ONE!!!! I LIKED IT A LOT!! it was like super duper good and i liked the scrunkly little priest guy. omg i love priests in the most uncatholic way hee hee hee. the practical fx in this movie were out of this world amazing. would watch again.

a haunting in venice (2023): 4/10
this movie was good. but it made no sense. the little detective was fucking adorable and i loved him. and i liked michelle yeoh. but jesus christ it made no sense. to be fair i didn't see the other two but still. not good. I would not watch it again.

monster high 2: 3/10
This was super duper bad but really funny. I watched with this with OAG and i feel like he makes everything funnier. Also I got into a fucking insane argument with someone in the comments on fmovies. they called me a "B.O. ridden, Communist hermaphrodite" and I've never been prouder of a title in my life. anyways. I miss the old Monster High but at least it's still alive. would not watch again.

the abominable dr. phibes (1971): 8/10
I LOVE WEIRD MOVIES I LOVE SURREALISM. This was literally a film from a dream a scene from a memory etc. etc. i love vincent price. i love the phantom of the opera, i love crazy doctors. another amazing entry the genre of UNREAL CINEMA. reminded me of phantom of the paradise (73) in the best way. love it love it a lot. kind of repetitive. music was top tier. this scratched my brain in just the right way and you know. ligotti'd my nihilism. would watch again.

the wicker man (1973): 10/10
oh my god. I love this movie so much. Like seriously Sir Christopher Lee is so incredibly a slay in this movie and it makes me crazy. like i don't know I LOVE DRUIDS and I LOVE GENDERFUCKERY and I love moral insanity and religious fanaticism this movie is so good it's so great. like midsommar but cute and horny (i haven't seen midsommar). seriously this shit fucked with my brain in the best way.

HAVING IMPURE THOUGHTS ABOUT THE LOCAL CULT LEADER. would watch again absolutely. definitely unreal cinema. i am my father's son and i do love the 1970s.

five nights at freddy's (2023): 10/10
OHHHHH MY GOD. this shit made me so autistic. I fucking love five nights at freddy's i love william afton i looooove the animatronics i love five nights at freddy's i love william afton i love five nights at freddy's MATTHEW LILLARD IN THIS OH MY GOD HE WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. MATPAT CAMEO HAD ME SHARTING MY PANTS. my theater for this was fucking amazing. literally laughing and shouting the whole time, and i definitely was too. let's just say i wasn't 1000% there for completely legal reasons that literally killed my anxiety and focus. it was great. I will watch again. life changing.
