Mens Hygiene

This is a genuine question and I don't mean this in a mean way, but do men genuinely think they don't smell? All the men I've met in my life have always smelt terrible, either family, friends, relationships, or just strangers. 

They all either smell like they don't shower/don't shower correctly, don't use deodorant, or just spray on cheap cologne like that will cover the smell.

Like I'm genuinely wondering and a bit concerned, I'm not saying this as a joke.
