pulling rabbits out of a hat!!!
i was actually pleasantly surprised about this one, i went in with about middling expectations tbh. i like how the mixing puts the instruments closer than the vocals sometimes, it has a nice touch. lyrics about not really anything but idrc, they're pretty good (i haven't looked up the lyrics to any of the songs).
faves: pulling rabbits out of a hat (i like the repetition), love scenes (got me teeheeing), progress, everybody move (repetition again, reminds me of planet of the bass), sisters, and both sparks in the dark! kiss me quick, with all my might, and pretending to be drunk are also all really really good as well. pretending to be drunk is so silly :3
this cover is uhm. something to say the least. it is very silly but i don't know why they pretty much have ron fisting russell lmaooo. what was the thought process behind this, why is russell a baby and a puppet. i like everything else about the cover tho

overhated album !!! i get the complaints about dated production, it's so obviously 80s, but that's not a big problem for me. it's fairly generic and i can understand that being disappointing because of how creative sparks are, but it's just some good fun synthpop and that's something i'm always down for.
the title track is probably my favourite
sparks in the dark pt2 goes in but i'm slightly confused as to why all 29 seconds of the first part are a highlight
the cover is slightly unsettling something about the realistic but obviously drawn art style trips me up idk why is ron's nipple sticking out stupid fucking puppet baby russell is stupid fucking puppet baby russell i miss when i'm with you puppet russell he was cute and i like him this makes it sound like i hate the artwork but i don't it's just interesting and confusing. sparks. cool.
i like short songs :3 i also just found that it was musically interesting and i was sad when the song ended so soon
