You can backup your current code in a Word document and switch back to it later if you miss it. If you press CTRL+Enter in Word it inserts a page break... I'd recommend putting two page breaks between each section so you don't get confused or anything.

I'd always recommend backing up your code regardless just in case something gets messed up or deleted. You can add comments to label portions of your code (if you haven't already) using this code:

<!-- COMMENT HERE-->

So, for example, I might put this in my page's code:

<!-- PAGEDOLL CODE-->
(Insert pagedoll code here)
<!-- END PAGEDOLL CODE-->
