SCENE verses CULTURE - Are you a "SCENE KID" ?

I am old enough these days but when I was younger I was a part of various "scenes". Today I see many young people label themselves as fans or participants in various given "scenes".

I think if you take the social trend very seriously, and if that trend lasts more than a few years, it's not a "scene". It's actually a CULTURE.

The best example of this is Hip-Hop. In the 80s it was a scene. By the 90s it's a culture.

Goth/Industrial was a scene in the 90s. It's culture now. Goth Culture. It's not just a scene or even a lifestyle anymore. I never really had the lifestyle but I did participate in the culture.

Even Rock and Roll was a scene in 50s. It's a huge international CULTURE now.

So thing about that. Maybe you should adjust your language on certain things?
