I FOUND YOUR PROFILE RANDOMLY ON ACCIDENT BUT I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD COMMENT ON THIS :') honestly I don't think alcohol or drugs would make you forget about horrible things, if I had to guess that's probably why people get addicted to them if that makes sense?? like in the moment they likely do take your mind off of your problems because you're so focused on the feeling, but it definitely only happens during that moment.. once the addiction sets in, I think many people's lives just start to revolve around chasing their next high, and that would genuinely be a really horrible way to live, it's way way better to find other things to help you forget instead!! :D personally I watch shows/anime and play games as a way to help myself, but either way I seriously feel like dealing with an addiction like that will prevent you from forgetting and moving on, because right after the feeling ends the only thing you're going to be focused on is getting more alcohol/drugs which will remind you of the reason you're feeling sad in the first place :')

I hope you're doing better now, but even if you aren't an addiction will definitely make things harder to deal with and it's going to prevent you from feeling better in the long and short run of things, THIS BECAME SO LONG BUT I GENUINELY HOPE YOU DON'T END UP TAKING DRUGS OR GETTING ADDICTED TO ALCOHOL IN THE FUTURE, AND I HOPE YOU END UP LIVING A HAPPY LIFE TOO!! :D

dude its just not worth it, addiction is awful and its a place you hardly get out of. there are better ways to cope with problems
