discover weekly #1

starting this blog series that no one asked for because i'm bored and may be able to introduce someone to some new music.

this is just going to be the songs i liked from my spotify discover weekly playlist that updates every monday. this week was very underwhelming as i only added 8 songs to my playlist :(

the cranberries - put me down: indie pop, chill af. 7.5/10

palms - opening tides: alternative metal/rock. one of chino moreno's side projects. good song, worth the listen if you enjoy chino moreno. 7/10

pearl brothers - gosui ni tasaru tsuriito: chill, short, instrumental song. 5/10

plastic tree - sink: japanese shoegaze. a very good song, instrumentally. 8/10

coye - wildflower: shoegaze, kinda grungy. incredible vocalist fronting them. love the lead guitar on this. i love this song. worth checking them out. this is the only song they have on their spotify. 9/10

kero kero bonito - dump: bedroom pop. this song makes me feel like a pretty girl ? 6.5/10

cfcf - model castings: chill electronic. 6/10

forth wanderers - unfold: indie rock. loved this band for years. 8/10

i'm not very articulate, right now. i could've described the songs and what i liked about them a lot better. hopefully next week's discover weekly will be more interesting.
