❤️🌧️ I'm gonna redesign the characters for one of my comics again::DOWN

I wanna redesign these mfs again.

     I tried using Dave's (3rd) color palette as a color palette for a drawing I was making of him but the colors sucked ass even when I adjusted them. So what I think I'm gonna do is try and give them all a more interesting color palette that I can use more practically. 
      also just small errors, like I don't think Bax's (1st) outfit is entirely era-accurate, he's supposed to have a kind of scene style 2015 but I think I made it a bit too modern.

     Also Merlin (2nd) has airpods in and my idiot brain didn't think to look up when airpods were made, they were made one year after the story is supposed to be set so that's my bad. His outfit is also off and I definitely should have done more research on punk and goth styles, (yet again I made it too modern). I'm definitely like, changing everything about his outfit, and that goes for bax too. I also think I should give him more sillouette distinction maybbeee?? Him and back are about the same hight and build, which just feels repetitive design wise, so I might change it.

     Dave is just... Dave, I love him but he really just doesn't have character implications that would cause him to have a good outfit. His outfit is better than what it used to be (I literally just put him in that red hat, glasses, headphones, black hoodie, and sans shorts because it was most realistic). I might try to invest time in seeing what was in stores like... idk.. 2 years ago? (so 2013) since that's probably the last time he bought clothes, if not even further back. (2012,, 2011,, 2010, maybe stopping there, no one can go without buying clothes for 5 years when you're living with a fucking billion dollar business owner.)

    For Arthur (4th) I'm not really sure. His design is supposed to be pretty simple, but I think I could make him look better. I also want to go back to taking into consideration the story implications, I did that at the start of designing them but I feel like it's been watered down each design rehash I do, so I'll have to do that again.
    Uhhhmm if anyone has any tips let me know! especially on the scene, goth, and punk stuff (although I know goth is focused on the music). Fashion is definitely a big interest of mine but I'm not an expert at it. 

   I'm going to try and make their poses more dynamic, I know I was focusing more on just their outfits when designing them, but I think I could definitely do something more interesting. (I was just worried if I gave them more complex poses it would obscure parts of their outfit, especially with Bax and Dave who have very maximalist styles with a lot of accessories.

Uhhh yeah that's the end of my ramble, no water mark because I honestly don't give a shit, this is old and I honestly think the artstyle looks pissy compared to my newer work. Like it's okay, I just don't care about it.

uhh and since this is my first post mentioning my OCs I will say I am going to come out with a pitch for this comic and my other comic pretty soon hopefully, but for now I'll probably just be posting about them slightly out of context.
