CMN is the skin condition I was born with. It is characterized by moles of various shapes and sizes throughout the body. The moles can be very large and cover 80% of skin. Unfortunately, people like me, who are born with the condition, have a higher chance of developing melanoma (a type of skin cancer). In fact, my moles have to be checked every 3 months, as I am susceptible to UV rays.
Growing up, I was made to feel imperfect. Bullies nicknamed me "cow", pointing out my differences. In all honesty, self-love has been a journey, one that I still partake today. But I have learned, overtime, to accept and love my differences. Every one of my moles makes me unique and beautiful, and I embrace that!
