Old School Hip Hop Discussion

I feel like an old head already lol. I like N.W.A, Wu-Tang Clan, 2Pac, Biggie, E-A-Ski, MC Eiht, K-Dee, And lots more. I also obviously like other kinds of music and music from the early 2000s and up but I feel like I don't see many folks on here talking about old school Hip-Hop.

Edit: 8/19/24

Eazy-E is currently my favorite rapper along with Young Jeezy. I personally won't put Jeezy under the old school category. Well at least not mostly. I'd put Young Jeezy in the early 2000's category because well... Of course lol. I was born in 2005 and when I was younger, I had heard lots of Young Jeezy's music so I'd basically Grew up to his music. Around that time, My favorite was Lil Wayne. Funny how my top 3 is Weezy, Jeezy and Eazy. Something about those E and Z's.. From what I've learned about Eazy-E so far is that he originally didn't even want to be a rapper. He sold dr*gs until Dr. Dre got him out of that business and into a recording studio when he and Dre were looking for rappers to record "Boyz-N-The-Hood". After some time, He got Eazy to do it and they made a hit. Eazy-E went on to create Ruthless Records with their manager, Jerry Heller until the group started to break apart because of payment issues. Ice Cube left the group and the remaining members began to diss him on songs like "100 Miles And Runnin'" and "Real N*****". Cube responded with the diss track "No Vaseline" before Dr Dre would also leave and diss Eazy-E on the track "Fuck Wit Dre Day (And Everybody's Celebratin')" Featuring Snoop Dogg. B.G Knoccout and Dresta (Formerly Gangsta Dresta) joined Eazy-E on the track "Real Muthaphukkin' G's" To respond to Dre and Snoop. Over time, artist Sylk-E. Fyne would join the 3 on another track titled "Ole School Shit" To diss Dre and Snoop again. Before his death at 30 years young from complications with the AIDS virus, Eazy-E and the NWA would get back on good terms with one another. B.G Knoccout and Dresta still sent shots at Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on the album "Real Brothers" (B.G Knoccout and Dresta are brothers).
