as ive been growing as a fighting game player and especially a guilty gear player im more and more realizing my final form in these games and the exact characters i like playing. the progression of the characters ive played started out super disconnected but slowly i found out what i liked playing the most, that being puppet characters. the thing is the only puppet character in +r and in guilty gear is eddie and hes pretty stinky bad in +r and coming from my current main in the game and potential top 1 contender (dizzy) i feel absolutely no reason to play eddie over her. it makes me wish people still played reload so i could absolutely thug it up with easy unblockable setups and do shadow gallery loops until my hands turned numb. Nobiru!!!!!.
dizzy is probably the closest im gonna get to a character like eddie in +r without it actually being him, fish is basically like a lite version of the shadow.
i may sound lame saying that i want my characters to be good but i feel like in guilty gear when gimmicky characters suck they are BAD bad. just look at the bottom tiers in +r and xrd. they are almost always very quickly considered to be the bad characters of the game and they usually are some of the more weird unorthodox characters in the roster (+r eddie, xrd zato, bedman, robo ky, answer)

ive never actually played +r, so i was pretty confused when i saw "eddie" instead of "zato" lol
agreed with the whole "gimmick characters being bad" thing, i think the only outlier to this is faust in xrd, who despite being an item character is top tier lmao
