femboy

It's really difficult being fem and also transmasc. Like, to most people, I look like a cis girl. I wear dresses, or fitted things, or really anything that accentuates my feminine features. And I love dressing like this! It's so great to look hot and put together, y'all. But the problem with my gender presentation is that it gets me misgendered. All. The. Fucking. Time.
I'm not saying that it's ever okay to misgender people, but I can see why someone would misgender me.

Our society is built around ideas that if you were born with biological features that are considered "male" or "female", you must be aligned with what you were born with. But the truth is, it's literally just a body part. Like, why does a slab of flesh and muscle tissue determine your gender? Really think about it. It's just a body part. Like, can your hands determine your gender? Or your ears? (If anyone is confused, the answer is in fact no.)

Anyway, I just wish the majority of society didn't have to impose shit like this upon us all the time. I wish I could just have my boobs and be considered a feminine guy. Unfortunately, that won't be something that will happen in the near future, just being realistic. But we should definitely fight that. Talk about this kind of problem. When we don't talk about issues like this, they will be ignored and possibly forgotten. If we all talk about this issue, eventually (even if we don't see change in our lifetimes) we can change how our society perceives gender.
But because the world is just so fucking intent on forcing their outdated ideas of gender on us, I'm probably gonna take testosterone in the future to alleviate my social dysphoria and hopefully stop getting misgendered.

This started as a rant about me hating my boobs because it gets me misgendered, but then I realized my dysphoria wasn't body dysphoria (dysphoria relating to.. you guessed it.. your body), but social dysphoria (dysphoria relating to how you're perceived in society). You shouldn't have to get rid of features if you don't want to, just because the world makes you believe that you will fit into one of their boxes for their idea of gender. And it's also totally okay if you do want gender-affirming care and surgeries. But what I'm saying is you shouldn't have to fit into boxes just because you're told to if you like how your body is now.

AAAAAANYWAAAAAAYYYYYYY THANKS FOR READING THIS LONG-ASS RANT! FUCK ALL THE TRANSPHOBES!
Stay strong all of my trans siblings, you got this.
