introducing sparks!!!

while this album does seem pretty adolescent compared to previous sparks albums (though sparks has always had been relatable with the teens), it is well made yk. it's still complex and beautiful. i wish there was more russell falsetto, i'm really missing that here. the american sound seems very dated however, which could be because (and thanks to a person on twt for mentioning this) sparks wanted to make music that they would have listened to or found relatable in their teen years. overall pretty good. yk. i'm surprised that it's so underground, but i suppose that's the label's fault.

faves: girls on the brain (russell is making me feel things man. i'm the girl on his brain (the girl in his head...)), occupation (i especially like how they said baby killer was an occupation. also cowboys. and the way russell says "and pilots."), those mysteries (it's so 70s man liiike serenade me!!!!), forever young (i just think it's neat and i do not want to grow up), and goofing off (it's just so. yk!!!) i *love* the way russell says "and not shave" in i'm not. i'm not is very relatable.

i really like the cover with russell and the one with ron. i like how they match. i wish they were both on there at the same time, but whatever. i guess i can't focus on more than one think (kanye reference i think...). russell has more kant to his cover though.
