I actually find it super strange how people are more willing to empathize with the corporate entities that actively work towards lowering their quality of living than like an actual flesh and blood human being?
We were talking about the concept of Free Riding in class for an assignment and I saw waaaay too many people bashing people seen as undesirable by the government and the work place- completely ignoring how our government and places of business (the large entities specifically) actively free ride off of our labor and funds only to be met with lobbying, abuse of power, insufficient wages and housing crises. Be so fucking fr rn.
personally I think everyone is entitled to basic human necessities like food and housing and everyone should be able to afford these things- they aren't luxuries they are NECESSARY TO LIVE. Now if you want that dream house and the 45 thousand cars and designer shoes and all that you are defiantly gonna have to put a little elbow grease in but at least (ideally) you aren't struggling paycheck to paycheck.
