when i bought 2k22 i swore i would never buy another 2k then i found out 2k23 would have an eras mode (you can go back in time and play through different eras of the nba; i.e. magic and bird in the 80s, jordan in the 90s, kobe in the 2000s) and im a fuckin sucker so i bought 23 when it went on sale and now im finding out 2k24 is gonna have all these extra addons to the eras mode like a fifth lebron era starting in the 2010s and newspaper articles pertaining to recent games??? why cant they just include this shit in an update????? im getting fucking mad why do i have to pay another $70 for the same game just so i can start in 2010
i understand theres other changes like tweaks in mechanics or new maps in mycareer mode but are you really telling me you can't just release one "nba 2k" every couple of years and update it... it made sense back in the day on the dreamcast when allen iverson was on the cover and you couldnt just release updates but its 2023 we have that technology now
everyones a sucker tho people complain about this and then buy it anyway

It's because they profit the most by making small changes every year, Releasing it as a new game, and then cutting support on the old titles so you're forced to buy the new one to experience all the features. It's just a cash grab at this point and no longer a passion project. I remember in the late 2000s the servers would remain on for YEARS now it's 2 years and they pull the plug. Quite sad honestly
