how its going

So I've been putting in a real effort to get to bed on time as I've mentioned before. This includes:

No caffeine after 3pm

No eating after 10pm because I often struggle with stomach pain at night(i work evenings so i do allow myself to eat something simple when i get home around 9:30ish on average - absolutely no dairy after dinnertime as im lactose intolerant)

In bed with low lights by 11pm, lights off at midnight

Be out of bed by noon at the absolute latest (to allow for nights where I just cannot sleep or sleep very poorly)

Additionally I've been trying to exercise more in the form of skating, and I've been cooking a bit more because for a few weeks there I was just living off pasta and bread. I smoked last saturday after a short break to help me chill out after work as the neighbouring pub's karaoke was very noisy, ad had an edible on tuesday evening for leisure and both helped me sleep but I'm not going back to daily use, most of the temptation is over now :D

What I've noticed is that on days I was able to get out of bed around 8am, I'm exhausted and miserable and unsociable by 5-6pm even if I got enough sleep. This is ass because if I have a committment in the evening, as soon as I step out the door my body is screaming to go home and Im way more sensitive to noise, smells, and people being around me generally. I hate naps but I might need to start using them if this continues bc otherwise uni will be a nightmare. I made very few friends last year because it was just so overwhelming. Theres so many people and I'm just very comfortable and happy with the friends I moved here/live with but I worry it makes me look disinterested/unapproachable.

Its noon now so I must get up and seek a cup of tea! I'm cooking a big pot of stovies for dinner which will make a lot of portions. If you're not from here its basically a massive pot of leftover vegetables like onions and potatoes, I have carrots to use up as well, and leftover roast meat, however my familys recipe has always just used link and square sausage so thats what I'm using, all stewed together in a pot of beef stock. I've not had it since I moved out, its sooo hearty and filling and comforting to me.
