coding is fun !

i'm learning to appreciate the value of painstakingly going through and neatly organizing a website's code. it looks really nice when everything is neatly put into place and condensed ... and it runs better too. i'm just playing around on the spacehey editor, but it's still honestly really relaxing! (until it breaks, then it very much isn't)

the one thing i wish i knew to do sooner is to reduce the size of a direct image link. like, when one url takes up five lines of code, that's physically painful for me to look at even if it didn't make it harder to parse my own work ... my profile is like, 90% image links, so the code is absolutely disgusting to look at and i am shocked that the end result is somewhat aesthetically pleasing regardless. can't believe i just let them look like that tbh

i guess my next goal should be sitting down and properly following along with some sort of tutorial/lesson but AAAGGGHHH if i can't learn something by just Doing It my brain refuses to cooperate !!! i don't want to do training exercises i want to do THE FUN PARTS !!! that's how i taught myself everything else i'm sort of kind of okay at!

how does anyone learn to do by reading about it @___@ my head would explode !!!
