I feel like this will end up being a platform that I log into once every 6 months and update everything at once, haha
Well, anyways, I hope you’re all doing well! Here’s what has been going on with me lately:
- Playing Animal Crossing New Leaf
I watched a YouTube video talking about why New Leaf is the best AC game, so I had to jump back in it. I tend to get burnt out with New Horizons pretty easily because it’s so overwhelming. I like that New Leaf is a lot simpler. As we’re transitioning into fall, Animal Crossing provides a lot of ambiance and helps me feel connected to the seasons :)
- Old School RuneScape
I had about a two-week long period where all I did was play OSRS, though I’m kind of falling out of it now. I think I got about to level 16 combat level and 170ish skill points or something. I don’t mind the mobile version too much as long as it’s on a larger screen, but desktop is a lot better.
- New job
Not much about this that I want to share online, but got a new job! I think I’ll like the people I work with, plus it’ll be a better mental health and financial situation for me :)
- Reading some shitty romance novels
I’m usually not the one to read romance - if I want that stuff, I’ll go to Ao3 or something, haha. But, I had a craving for something like… Victorian romance or smth. A lot of the classics I wanted that fit that sort of vibe were on hold with the library, so while I’m waiting on those, I’ve been reading the following:
— Kingdom of Exiles by Maxyn M. Martineau
I actually grabbed The Frozen Prince off the shelf originally, and once I got about 30 pages in and nothing was making sense, I Googled it and apparently it’s the second book in the series. I got the first book instead. So far, it’s… okay. The characters are all pretty likable which is important. I’m not a huge fan of series, honestly. I’ll try to finish this one to see if I’m interested in continuing. Prolly not, lol
— Radiant Sin by Katee Robert
Well, upon looking it up, apparently this is #4 in a series, GDI. I’m sure there is some sale tactic with not clearly labeling that a book is # whatever in a series, but it’s so thoroughly annoying to me.
Well, anyways, this book is like a modern re-telling of Apollo and Cassandra. It’s honestly pretty entertaining right now, even though I hate the main character lmao. From what I saw online just now, I think you aren’t supposed to read it as a stand-alone, but it all is making decent sense without reading the prior books. You might need some knowledge about Roman/Greek mythology, but it’s all just a Google away if you don’t already have that.
This one is also supposedly spicy, so I guess we’ll see ;)
- Drinking La Croix
I have forever been a soda drinker and a vocal sparkling/flavored water hater. Idk if it has just come on with age, but I’ve been fucking up La Croix recently. The lime is super good, but I’ve also been liking the tangerine and the lemon :)
I honestly think that’s about all to share right now - I’m very much the type of person to bounce around from hobby to hobby (see chapter titled “Old School RuneScape” lmao), but I like the ease of access that blogging provides. I never really blogged before, so I might try and keep up with this!
For the rest of my day, I’ll probably clean the house and prepare for the upcoming week. I’ve been looking forward to the upcoming fall season too, so I might get on Pinterest or make a playlist or add some fall items to my Amazon cart and not buy them, lmao
I hope you all have a fantastic upcoming week! Lemme know what you’ve been up to recently if you feel so inclined! :)

I've never played runescape even back when it was popular. Might have to start playing it to see what all the fuss is about. Gotta get back to reading books too. Hope you have a great day, month and year.

I remember playing it probably back in like.. 2007 or something? I was definitely still a kid so most of it flew over my head. I tried to get into the newer RuneScape bc the graphics are better, but it just doesn’t hit the same as the old clunky version. Plus, the old-school soundtrack is eons better than the new one, in my opinion haha. It’s free and pretty accessible, so I recommend giving OSRS a try! :)
Getting a library card has made me feel like a much more well-rounded person bc I get to do something entertaining that isn’t staring at a screen! “Fun’s not hard when you have a library card” or whatever that slogan was xD
