I always talk about this but I feel like people just overlook it, don’t see it as a problem because often I feel like plus size people aren’t even fully seen as people. I just HATE when I see a dope ass brand, or a dope article of clothing, a fire accessory, a sexy shoe! Yet I can’t enjoy it because the size ranges are between S-L. Which I feel like is bull in it’s own cause even some full figured women need an XL here and there.
I can’t really expect much though if even a size 10 or 12 isn’t included right. Cause if y’all couldn’t add those sizes why would there be an 18 or 20? I get it, there’s a stigma around plus sized men and women, but we deserve nice things too. I’m TWENTY FOUR and why should I be subjected to dressing like I’m 40 because companies and brands aren’t inclusive. It’s 2021, inclusivity is IT! It’s in.
Brands fail to realize the more inclusive and diverse your brand is, the more money they make, but yet they still cling onto outdated beauty standards and it’s so annoying. Small is beautiful, big is beautiful. Whether you agree with it or not, things definitely need to change.
