Working on a new game!

Hi all, sorry for the lack of updates recently. I've been busy with a multitude of stuff. But I'm back!!

I recently quit Construct 3 and switched to Gamemaker Studio 2, gotta say, it's a lot more flexible and fun to use than Construct. Writing code's super fun, of course it's GML so it's pretty simple, but either way it's fun to write in. Currently I'm working on a game called Kill Your Landlord With a 19x9mm Semiautomatic: The Game (KYLWa19x9mmSA:TG for short (KYL:TG for shorter)). Premise is kinda self-explanatory, but I'll get into the details into gameplay either way.

Unfortunately I can't get recordings of the game, ofc I can put in screenshots but I tbh don't wanna bother. I will include concept art though!

Concept for the characters :33
You pick one of 3 characters: TVH; Sonc; John. Each have unique abilities, stats, buffs and debuffs. In the beginning of the game, you exit your apartment and have to run through the rooftops of a Tokyo-like city, killing cops along the way trying to stop you. You then go down from the roofs into the suburbs, where your landlord lives. The cops have set up barricades using crates and other stuff, so it'll be more challenging (at least in theory) to get through. Once you reach the landlord's home, you go in and kill him. Simple as.
Each character has an "Ultra", which goes up each time you shoot a cop. Once it's full, you can activate it, which gives you a super finger gun which can shoot at incredible speeds with infinite ammo for a limited time. Cops drop ammo, so if you need extra ammo without depleting the ammo that you already have, this can be useful. Cops also drop armour (vests) and health kits, so those can be useful aswell.
In terms of unique abilities, TVH has none, whilst Sonc can double jump, and John can use its claws to fight off nearby cops, allowing it to have an alternative way of attacking without depleting ammo.
The current version is v0.061, so it's still pretty early. As of now, the only character I've fully implemented is Sonc, somewhat implemented TVH and not implemented at all John.

I'll try and give more blog updates on stuff I've worked on (including this game!) in the near future, so stay tuned!
