what happened to hot topic? :(

hey yall! today i went shopping for cute stuff and ofc i went to the hot topic, but actually it was the first time in like 3-4 years that i really went shopping there. and i was really disappointed, it has changed so much since i started shopping there like 7 years ago.

i really just wanted some cute band tees, for my chem or fob and stuff, but they had hardly any band tees there anymore and most of the clothing wasnt really cute and was lowkey overpriced. i felt like the anime section took over my store and anime is cool n all but its not really my scene so i was disappointed.

does anyone feel like hot topic has totally fallen off within the past five years? or am i just remembering it better than it actually was?
