the modern youth are intrigued by the works of satan
where did the beautiful paintings of god go? of nature?
instead the focus is on pain and despair
frankie is quite wholesome. a benignant boy.

sure frankie is fine, a small ray of light in the sea of darkness, but his portrayal, and the surrounding arts.... just dark, gloomy, painful.

Redon’s piece reminds me of the manga ‘The Flowers of Evil’. Maybe that’s where the manga was inspired from, it’s a disturbing story, though.
i looked it up and the art style is real cool - i see the similarities with that giant eyeball flower thing in the sky. i’ve never really gotten into graphic novels or manga but maybe i’ll read that one.

Now this is real art. Art now is just weird and having one singular line is now "art".
there are some cool modern artists i like a lot, but i’m not huge on minimalism either.
