Sooner or later, when I have time to breathe again (as the new semester
is picking up just now), I'll get around to writing on here the way I
want to. The age of handheld information means that there's a lot to learn and communicate about; I'd like to use my quiet nook of the web to trade notes with some fellow geeks.
Currently,
the biggest thing I'm working on is a YouTube video essay in collaboration with a friend, but the annual re-reading of Dracula has brought analysis of folklore and mythological
origins to the forefront of the mind, too. Discussing the reasons- real and hypothetical- why
the creatures we conjure for ourselves act in the ways that they do is a specific interest of mine, so an essay on the origins and purpose(s) of vampire and werewolf stories may be in the future. Alternatively, I had started writing a personal research paper on bioluminescence that I might put on here. Dunno.
I don't know if anyone actually reads these sections. This is mostly going here to keep a record and hold myself accountable. Should anyone stumble across this anyway, cheers.
Hobby update: began learning sign language (ASL), regularly practicing. Haven't been juggling. Practicing Morse code on and off.

I'm terribly sorry for the late reply, but thank you for the kind words! I do love learning, and it means something to me to find like-minded folks. Maybe we can trade some thoughts in another six months haha ^^;
