Your parents have just grounded you, forcing you to stay inside instead of going outside to see your friends.
What to do to stave off the boredom?
Parents are at work. It's summer vacation. You're home with your siblings, who are either working on summer school homework, at their part-time job, or watching TV.
Boot up the computer.
Load up lotgd.net. Play for a bit. Roam around online at fanfiction.net. Maybe take a quiz, post it to your xanga.com page. Watch some YouTube videos about everything and nothing at all.
It's nighttime. Your parents are home cooking, eating, getting ready for bed.
You're still on the computer.
You stumble into the darker corners of the internet. Suddenly, you're watching gore porn. How did you get here?
You want to look away, but you can't. You can't believe this stuff is available for you to see on the internet. And yet, no one in the house is watching you look at these traumatizing images.
You get up, grab a soda from the fridge, and a bag of chips.
You keep looking.
It's midnight.
You hop on AIM to see who's online to chat.
It's 2AM.
You go to bed.
Rinse, wash, repeat.
