i used to hear a lot of people talk abt hot topic like it was so good but its gotten rlly mainstream and bad
like, they steal art and also? whys it so expensive?
i live in australia so i can't actually buy it or even get it shipped here :(
but srsly? hot topic was this store where alt kids could shop and now its just a shop for kids who like anime
hot topic needs 2 bring back the emo stuff and they would probably make more money if they did anyway
like all the alt kids usually have 2 shop online so it's rlly annoying bcus i've started getting my emo clothes from like romwe or cider but i don't like supporting fast fashion so i also try 2 thrift and diy a lot of things but its hard
hot topic had this whole thing going for it and now it's just ruining the entire brand
im gonna go back 2 shopping online i think bcus its rlly hard 2 get ht stuff here

Yeah it sucks, It's been slowly healing(???)(I've seen a surprising amount of emo/scene stuff as of recent) but I'm pretty sure they still steal art :( .... they are SO EXPENSIVE too

Scene kid as a trend has died since the start of the Facebook golden age, I personally believe MySpace was inappropriate towards its users which ultimately led to the downfall of the scene kid since MySpace was dying.
Hot topic is mainly a scene store so that’s one of the reason why.
yes but also scene kids/ emo kids have kind of had a revival due to tiktok and i think if ht started selling the old clothes again there might be another revival/ rawring 20s :3

I think 2000’s are very over exaggerated, there wasn’t much good in the decade.
