Trying to make a fursona again

I've always seemed to struggle sticking with my fursonas for more than like. a month tops so I'm gonna try again!
First step is always the hardest.. Gotta choose a species. A bit hard for a guy without a favorite animal but I thought maybe I could just make a mish mosh of my favorite animals and call it a species?? 

If u guys got any advice I'd be happy to hear it!
