I dive within the sewer's hidden space,
Rats eating my skin, in this dark place,
Not the world's most joyful feeling, I must admit,
But better than thoughts of you, every bit.
I await your eyes to meet mine once more,
Like fireflies to their tombs, a journey to explore,
And as the day concludes, no light will show,
By your side, I choose not to go.
Eyes trembling with anxiety's embrace,
Waiting for the truth to show its face,
I'll hold back the urge to let out a scream,
My lungs have stopped, a silent stream.
The earth punctures through my weary lung,
Oxygen's absence in me has stung,
The more I try to break free from this snare,
The sharper the pain, an unending affair.
The fresh water within my mouth
The taste of death falls short, no doubt
Expected this to come about
But didn't expect the pain, I act out
Your teeth tumble from your grin
In my palms, they lay within
This moment's crazy, it's a win
Won't be in vain, this tale we spin
Would it be fair if it all ceased?
Unjust if my heart was just released?
Unjust if hate in my heart increased?
If at the end, love's bond decreased?
Could you free me, bring inner peace?
It would be a pleasure to receive
