finished the first book from The Selection ! (i did NOT like it)

I went into this book open minded, but I finished it, ELECTRIC CHAIR RN

the plot?? where?? where is the PLOTT

i felt like i just read multiple girls fighting over a man and literally that is the whole book (which i think it was and LITERALLY is)

America (female lead)(please i was so right to have some suspicions from her name alone) from just reading what her name was) was so poorly written and so bland like- I COULDNT CARE LESS for a FL like omg

Maxon? who? oh you meant the embodiment of toxic masculinity? yeah that man is male lead? and there are so many girls fighting for his affection.. FOR WHAATTT?? likeeeee.. why

it was pretty cringey as well but i legit searched up when it was published before i read it, 2012, so it was definitely why it *was*

this was falling under the dystopian genre.. but this was NOT dystopian, there are so much more better dystopian books i have read! 

i thought it was going to be an overdramatic, heck i think i wanted and expected it to be overdramatic but .. it wasn't? like? there was literally nothing going on except the fact they said the "the north and south are fighting and attacking", like that was it, like no more

overall i do not recommend it (ty for coming to my TEDtalk LMAO)
