Reading this reminded me of konpeito. It's a Japanese candy that I've heard some people call "star candy"! It's a bit fruity tasting, but nice and crunchy! It also comes in pretty colors.
Oh, yea !! Actually, this idea kinda comes from that in a roundabout sorta way :3
In Super Mario Galaxy, the starbits are said to taste like honey, and they're based on konpeito, so ye !
