skylanders is so cool

more people need to play the games, the figures are so much cheaper than they were originally and the games themselves are really fun

the first two games (spyros adventure and giants) are really good dungeon crawlers
the rest are beatemup platformers

if you want to use a portal you can use all non xbox portals on any non xbox console (or pc if you want to emulate) but you can only use xbox 360 portals on xbox 360 consoles and xbox one portals on xbox one/series x consoles

ok now this is how to play the games
ssa (spyros adventure): its on the wii, xbox 360, ps3 and pc (technically wii u too but its only in japanese) you can use any portal in this game
giants: its on the wii, xbox 360, ps3 and wii u. you can use any portal in this game
swap force: its on the wii, wii u, xbox 360, xbox one, ps3 and ps4. you can only use the swap force, trap team and superchargers portal here
trap team: its on the wii, wii u, xbox 360, xbox one, ps3, ps4, ios (hard to get) and android. you can only use the trap team portal here
superchargers: its on the wii u, xbox 360, xbox one, ps3, ps4 and ios (hard to get) you can use any portal here
imaginators: its on the wii u, xbox 360, xbox one, ps3, ps4 and switch (hard to get) you can use any portal here

if you want to emulate them download developer versions of dolphin (wii emulator), rpcs3 (ps3 emulator) or cemu (wii u emulator) as you can use the portal by messing with drivers or use an emulated portal if you dont want to buy any figures

if your computer isnt strong enough to emulate the games either use dolphin and override emulated clock speed and set the value to what you like until the music isnt choppy or somehow find ssa pc where you dont need to edit and drivers but you cant use an emulated portal

if you want recommendations on where to start either start at ssa (first game) or superchargers (cheapest game on current gen consoles)
