God, Ghost is such a good band. They will always be my #1 favorite band.
Where do I even start with this? Ghost has been a big part of my life ever since 2018. I first fell in love with Ghost when I heard their cover of "It's a Sin" and I couldn't stop listening ever since. Though, for a while I only stuck with listening to that, and not listening to any of their other songs. I regret doing that though. They've put out so many good songs, I can't even recommend them enough. My favorite album has to be IMPERA with just... How good it all is. Y'know what? I'm going to write a lil review for each song.
Imperium: A banger introduction song to an EVEN BANGER album.
Kaisarion: "Kaisarion! A prophecy told!"
This song makes me feel so damn energetic, and I can't help but listen to it on repeat constantly.
Spillways: "All your faith, all your rage, all your pain, it ain't over now."
Pretty good song, honestly. Good to listen to when you're just playin' games and grinding.
Call Me Little Sunshine: "You will never walk alone, you can always reach me."
Man... I may not like this song as much as the others, but man does it still sound so good.
Hunter's Moon: "It's been a long time coming, I'm coming back for you my friend."
Man, this song being in Halloween Kills is so amazing. This song being in support of my favorite movie franchise is so good to see.
Watcher In The Sky: "Search lights! Looking for the Watcher In The Sky!"
Dude. This song is my FAVORITE because of how hard it hits, along with the amazing drop it has. I find myself humming this song so often.
Dominion: *Amazing instrumentals*
An intermission song. I have no opinion on it, but damn is it menacing.
Twenties: "In the Twenties! (Twenties!) We'll be singing in a reign of pennies!"
OOOOOHHHH, TWENTIES! Man, this is a close second to my favorite song. There's no reason why it should sound this good.
Darkness At The Heart Of My Love: "I'm with you always. Always."
This song is so good, especially with the guitar solo at 2:34. The key change is also something really good to mention.
Griftwood: "Do you want to play with the sire? Do you want a view from the spire?"
I may not listen to this song much, but this song is still so good, especially with the lyric listed above.
Respite On The Spitalfields: "We're here in the after of a murderous crafter."
This is the only song that I can confidently say that I don't listen to. It may not appeal to me, but it will appeal to others. Though, the guitarwork on this song is... It's amazing.
This concluded my thoughts on IMPERA. Though, of course, there's waaaay more to be said about this album, but I wanted to keep it short and simple. I will go over "Prequelle" at a later point, as that is my second favorite album.
