I'm getting into college soon and it has been stressing me out a great deal. I dont even know why it feels so stressful but I just dont feel ready and there isnt really anyway that i would feel ready. everyone just tells me to not worry too much and college is gonna be the most fun part in my life, but i HIGHLY doubt that. Those words usually come from older people and extroverted people so i dont think ill be the type of person to enjoy college.
Is college really better than school?

yes and no (also I'm british and you sound american so idk how relevant my words are)
Yes because you are more speciallised on your course and with more people to interact with you can find a group of friends that are more like you. You also have a chance to establish yourself away from your parents and home town which is very freeing.
No beacause people are still people, they can still be mean or petty or whatever like they were in school. You also have to look after yourself which is hard (make friends and look after each other)
It's not common in my country to move out for college so I'm staying home (which I really don't mind) my main concern is the making friends part since I'm extremely introverted

the best thing to do is join a very active club that meets regularly
