yandere simulator

hai 2 nobody, my name is roxas! :3

in this post, i wanted to talk about a game called "yandere simulator"!

TW violence obviously

before i get into this game, i just want to say that, despite my hyper fixation on yandere simulator, i do NOT support YandereDev. he is like super weird and a creep apparently...tbh im not that surprised considering the game's elements LMAO but the memes of him are hilarious he is just so easy to make fun of HAHAHA have yall seen the discord speedruns? basically people send a meme of YandereDev looking like an idiot and they get banned literally within seconds.

i am aware of his actual controversy and the disgusting things he has said. if you aren't aware, that's your problem. anyways, now that's out of the way, lets get into the actual game: yandere simulator.

yandere simulator is a game that reminds me of my childhood. thats honestly a horrifying statement considering the game's content xD. i think i definitely have some sort of bias because i was OBSESSED with this game when i was younger. i LOVED kubz scouts' yandere simulator videos (i still do :p) !!!

for those who dont know, "yandere" is a popular japanese trope, especially in anime, where a girl is crazily obsessed like "i will kill any girl that looks at you" type shit towards her crush/lover. in yandere simulator, you play as a high school yandere girl. the main objective of the game is to "eliminate" your "rivals." basically, the protagonist (yandere-chan, most commonly referenced as) has an EXTREME crush on her senpai (a term used to describe an upperclassman). throughout the game, you encounter "rivals" that develop crushes on your senpai. as i said earlier, the point is to get rid of these rivals. you can do something light-hearted and "simple" like match her with someone else other than your senpai, or you can go to extreme lengths and murder her! there are TONS of ways to sabotage your rival from getting close with your senpai.

the original game mode has been in development FOREVER. im not sure when it'll be finished, but 1980s mode (a prequel to the original game mode where you play as yandere-chan's mother) is complete so i decided to play that. there are 10 rivals, here is how i beat them all:

for the first rival, i faked her suicide. i watched her go to class and put her bag down and read her diary. doing this gave me information about an "evil photographer" (as you play the game, notice all of your rival's diaries mention an "evil photographer"). i put a note in her locker saying i know information about the "evil photographer," asking to meet at the rooftop after school. this intrigued kaguya (the first rival), so she agrees. for the rest of the school day, i focused on studying language so that i could unlock the ability to write fake suicide letters. after school, i found kaguya at the rooftop just like i asked, hidden out of sight, perfect. when i approached her, it gave me the option to push her off the rooftop so i did. in japan, its common that when people commit suicide, they remove their shoes and place a letter besides it. this is shown in the game when you eliminate your rival this way. since i left a suicide letter, i figured that took care of itself. i tried going home but the police were called obviously however they found the letter, implying this death was a suicide. there was no trace back to me, so i successfully got away with it!

for the second rival, i simply just murdered her. while moeko (the second rival) was talking to senpai in the morning, i crafted a body bag by going to the home ec room (located on the first floor) and grabbing trash bags. be sure to run fast and avoid people because it will be suspicious if people see you carrying that in the morning (not cleaning time). then i went to the art club (located on the second floor) to grab masking tape and went into the workshop (also located on the second floor) to craft body bags using the workbench. take the body bags to the pool room, (located behind the boys' locker room) you will find there is also a pipe wrench conveniently placed there. moeko is a little freak that would go burn fires at school so i just followed her when she went to go do that. she does this infront of the pool room. when no one was looking, i grabbed the pipe wrench from inside the pool room and killed her. i laughed to help my sanity then concealed her body with a body bag i made from earlier. it was really close to the girls' locker room so i hurriedly took a shower, changed, and put my bloody clothes in the incinerator. i ran to the nearest bathroom and made mop water then dipped the mop and ran back to the "incident" and swept up all of the blood. i grabbed the body (covered with a garbage bag) and threw it in the incinerator along with the pipe wrench. surprisingly, this was pretty easy to do without anyone noticing. just be sure to walk around as far as you can when you are going to the incinerator along the bushes and always be running to avoid being noticed by other students.

for the third rival, honami, she is a book worm. i got my physical education skills up and knocked the bookshelf on top of her after school in the library (located on the second floor), resulting in her being crushed to death. when i went home, the police were called however it had no trace to me. ultimately, it was deemed as an accident and i was able to get away with it.

for the fourth rival, sumiko, she is super healthy and prepares her meals everyday type shit. using this information provided, the first thing i thought of was to do something food related. i went into the science lab and acquired lethal poison. i found it was super easy to get into my rivals bags, even if there was a teacher. all you had to do was go outside right in front of the bathrooms and giggle, causing the teacher to have a reaction. then, quickly run back inside the classroom and press e to access your rival's bag. i put the lethal poison in sumiko's bento, causing her to die at lunch when she ate it. this had no trace to me, and was deemed an accident, specifically bad food.

for the fifth rival, ritsuko, we learn that she is a snobby rich girl that spends her days at the pool instead of studying, simply for the luxury. using this information, the first thing i thought of was to drown her. you can get a sedative from the store in the town, but if you dont have money, you can also get a sedative from the nurses' office. to do this, grab hairpins from the drama club and then wait in the bathroom for class to start (do NOT go to class). when class has started, go to the faculty room. there will only be one teacher. giggle outside the room to distract her then quickly run in to get paper clips. you can also access cigarettes or an answer sheet to frame someone. once you got the hair pins and paper clips, go to the workshop (located on the second floor) to craft a lockpick using the workbench. using this lockpick, you can go to the nurses' office and get the sedative in the cabinet while she's not looking. once i got the sedative, i put it in ritsuko's bento by invading her bag. while she's sunbathing by the pool, she will fall asleep. i simply just pushed her in the pool and she drowned. this had no trace to me and i was successful.

for the sixth rival, ai, she dreams of becoming a popstar. when you read her diary, you learn an embarrassing secret that everyone laughed at her during a talent show. you can use this information to ruin her reputation. i would socialize with club members about their clubs to gain reputation so that i could gossip about ai claiming that she hated whatever club they were in and also spread that secret around. i did this so much until her reputation was so bad that she left school and never came back.

for the seventh rival, teiko, i murdered her. during cleaning time, i made a body bag and placed it in the storage type room near the door to go outside on the first floor. after cleaning time, i waited until the locker room and surrounding areas were clear AFTER the students used it so i didnt have to worry about students for a moment. i grabbed the body bags from the storage room and placed them in the girls' locker room for later. teiko is a teachers pet so she was hanging out by the faculty lounge. i had her follow me to the girls' locker room and murdered her there with a box cutter i brought to school. i concealed her body, changed my clothes, and showered. i put her body, my bloody clothes, and the box cutter in the incinerator while everyone was during after school activities and was able to get away with a murder.

for the eighth rival, i murdered her. i was honestly really lucky because of a glitch. after komako (the eighth rival) ate lunch outside on the martial arts bench, she got up to walk towards class but she just started spinning around in circles for soo long LMAO until everyone went to class, which was convenient because no one was around to witness anything. i kept asking myself "omg should i murder her???" and when she finally got unstuck from whatever the hell just happened and started actually walking to class, im like "OH SHIT" so i quickly just murder her LMAO but i burned her body, clothes, changed, all that mess yada yada you already know by now.

for the ninth rival, chigusa, i kidnapped her. to kidnap someone, you want to acquire a sedative (i already explained how in a previous paragraph discussing ritsuko) and a syringe (located in the nurses' office). i went to where most of the clubs were to socialize with students about their obvious interests which made my reputation higher in order to get chigusa to follow me. when i got my reputation high enough, i did a task for her so that i could ask her to follow me. while she was doing some sort of photoshoot by the pool, i asked her to follow me to the gym. she agreed because i had a high reputation and i helped her with a task previously. i lured her into the kidnapping room, closed the door, and injected her with the sedative, causing her to pass out. i put her in the instrument case and left her there. after doing this, my immediate goal was to get a lockpick (i already explained how). after school, i came back to get her and put her in my basement. i was very excited about kidnapping someone it made me slightly concerned LMFAO but i went to my basement as soon as i got home and i had the option to torture her or feed her. i learned that her health went down every day so i had to give her meals bought from the store in the town to keep her alive. i tortured her for 18 hours because i had no reason to go to school now that my current rival was no longer a threat. after that, i tortured her again, causing her sanity to get to 0%. this unlocked the option to bring her to school, which, upon doing so, would allow me to get her to murder someone for me which could be really helpful! so guess what i did for the next rival...

for the tenth and final rival, i brought chigusa (my now mind slave) to school with me. i simply just grabbed a knife from the cooking club and went up to her and sent her after sonoko (the tenth rival) to stab her. she did so, and man was it brutal. she killed herself after, so when the police came, they determined chigusa killed sonoko however they couldnt perform an arrest because chigusa killed herself and they both were dead. apparently sonoko was supposed to be the hardest rival but it was extremely easy for me because i didnt even do anything! HAHAHA

this was basically my experience with 1980s mode. it was pretty fun, but it definitely was VERY repetitive. every rival had the same interactions with senpai, which made it very predictable. it somewhat felt TOO easy in a way when i remember describing yandere simulator as "incredibly hard and impossible to beat" in the past lol. the ending also felt pretty bleh. i mean come on! im not sure what i was expecting, but after waiting MULTIPLE YEARS, that ending felt disappointing. i guess i was expecting something more grand or epic but i also know yandere dev is kinda shitty so oh well LMFAO but that being said yandere simulator is a pretty fun game i mean i guess at the end of the day it IS a simulator so dont expect it to be grand, but 1980s mode is pretty interesting if you find the main game boring or uncomplete because it literally is lmao. thank you 4 reading!
