i LOVE the movie ‘but i’m a cheerleader’

If you haven’t seen this movie WATCH IT RN. i have watched it many many times and will never get sick of it. it’s a gay movie from the 1990’s based around a lesbian relationship at conversion therapy. But it’s a light hearted comedy that analyses gender and sexuality norms. PLUS it has NATASHA LYONNE AND CLEA DUVALL AS THE MAIN COUPLE. they are the reason i am a lesbian…

i love this movie because they have a very funny use of stereotypes in a non offensive way. and it’s one of the only gay media every that isn’t heartbreaking. i personally thing they capture lesbian relationships really well. the gentleness and comfort and support. lesbian relationship are different and more sweet (i can’t think of a fitting word). they just feel so special and lovely. and the movie discusses internalised homophobia as well as having happily gay characters. 

and yes this movie has made me feel VERY single :p plus in my friendship group at school i’m the only single person. which makes school kinda suck sometimes. it’s a bit annoying having my friends stare into each others eyes and giggling while i’m trying to ask about homework. 

oh how i wish i had a girlfriend. anyways i will get a girlfriend eventually i have a long life left to live.
