Generally, I have no idea what I'm doing. Winging it based on others' examples. My expertise is modding Bethesda games, and even then I'd only consider myself a novice at it. But I will link things I've found handy in learning how to do it.

Noah's YT channel. Been a huge help and has a variety of specific examples.
EZ-GIF. Big tool box of GIF editing options. I find the optimizer incredibly handy.
