Who is Niles Caulder?

(this is reposted from my selfship blog on tumblr, but I wanted to put it on my spacehey because so much off it is themed after him! plus he's my favorite fictional character ^__^ this was originally written feb 21 2023)

so Niles Caulder, also known as The Chief, is a character from Doom Patrol!!!! Doom Patrol is a series of DC comics, but it's also been adapted into a live action show, and the Doom Patrol characters have been in other DC medias too

so Niles is the leader of the Doom Patrol!!! he's hyper intelligent, wheelchair-bound, and he's the one who formed the hero team called the Doom Patrol :) and he leads them when they're on missions and stuff so that's why he's called the Chief

he's also got a bit of a chocolate craving which is one of my fav things abt him x3 (I think the canonical reason is something something blood sugar bc he's old, but I just like to think he's got a big sweet tooth for the stuff)

I can't really get much further into his character without spoiling the plot of doom patrol xP
