Come one, come all! I am speculating on MCR5's possible release date, theming, and just general insanity over a new album after years of nothing but a single. So, let's go!
The release date of MCR5 is a highly discussed topic wherever you go, but is there an actual way of knowing when? The answer is... not really. Those in the fandom has speculated a wide variety of release dates, going anywhere from Halloween of this year to the Bullets, Revenge, Black Parade, or Danger Days reunions of next year. The fact that we have recently been getting more and more subtle confirmations from band members or general anecdotes (the fortune cookie, the confirmation of everyone in LA, and the sightings near recording studios for example) leads me personally to believe that the album will fall sometime this year. My hopes and dreams say Halloween, but I think that November sometime may be the most likely, simply due to alleged recording dates.
Next, theming!!! As someone who aw MCR live last year, I saw a lot of the tour's general theming firsthand. As clear to anyone who knows of MCR's latest exploits, flies, animalistic characteristics, and disease seem to be shown throughout the tour and in the single. However, can we be certain that this will be the entire theme and/or story of the album? I think not. When MCR announced their comeback with the tour, they used a man in a skeleton mask to advertise/announce their return. But what does that have to do with album theming? Well, a few months ago, kidrock released a plushie titled "The Return of MCR," which is a small skeleton in robes (once again, as shown in the trailer for tours). This ties to a theme of death, however, it doesn't give any bearings to the flies/animal theories. I personally think that the new album may be themed after a slasher type of story, due mainly to the tour trailer and plushie release. However, I could very well be proven wrong by the release-- we shall see later down the road.
Finally, I want to touch briefly on the musical style of this album. Every MCR album has a distinct vocal and instrumentation style that isn't mirrored by other albums. Bullets is heavier, while The Black Parade leans more on the rock opera side of things. Revenge is deep in its instrumentation, while danger days has an air of pop aiding in its rock. So, what will MCR5 be? As shown by Foundations, MCR seems to be leaning back to a Bullets-type grit that we haven't seen from the band since the early 2000's. However, there have been off-theme songs before-- compare Teenagers or House of Wolves to Sleep or Disenchanted to get what I mean. Either way, the new album will likely have vocals closer to a heavy metal band, if Foundations is to be taken as a tone setter. Either way, I am certain the new album will be a beautiful work of art, just like all the others.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me rant! If you have any ideas on MCR5's release, theme, or style, let me know! I'd love to see what everyone else thinks :) (also, excuse any typos or grammatical flubs, I am NOT proofreading)

im pretty sure it’ll get released sometime next year because production will take a little while and if theyve just been recording in the studio then i highly doubt theyll get it all done in the next couple months. i do believe its happening though
