So what is 〜ておく?
Essentially it is the te-form of a verb combined with the helping verb おく to state that an action is being performed in preparation for something.
Examples: studying for a test next week, going on a diet for the summer, majoring in computer science for money... etc
These are times when you can use 〜ておく.
So how to use 〜ておく?
1. From the dictionary form (ex: 食べる)change it into て form
2. Add おく (とく for short)
3. Follow the format: reason for action から/ので、action+ておく.
I'm studying since tommorrow there is class. → 明日クラスがあるので、私は勉強しておく。
thats it, I need to study my next grammer point and kanji soooo byee
