First blog! Let's talk about cats!
Cats are really cool, in my opinion. Maybe it's because as I'm writing this, I have a really fluffy cat purring on me and I'm drinking tea out of a 'cat dad' that Isaac(/sys) got because of his own love for cats, but cats are really nifty animals.Β
They can learn to communicate their wants and needs not only verbally, but they are aware enough of their surroundings to pick up on things. This is probably a more biased thing here, because this is a true story, but our cat (I'm gonna nickname her Stella), the household keeps the kettle next to the sink for easy access to water. Stella knew this, and without any meowing, or anything asked, we would randomly find her sitting on top of where our drinks usually get made. For about a month or two when this started, nobody knew why she did it, but kept doing it, but it eventually clocked in that whenever she sat on the counter where we made drinks, she was asking for water.
A cat's purr is at a frequency with healing qualities, and can be known to help heal people too, like a real mini Quirk! In addition, and this is really what I want to talk about:
Cats can smell hormones. It's not to the degree that dogs can, their sense of smell is far higher than a cat's, however, given how there's been multiple cases a cat can sense someone having something like an oncoming heart attack. If you've ever known or had a cat you'll have experienced the comfort of a cat walking on you when you're sad or hormonal, you'll know what I mean, but that's a very good chance that your cat knows how you smell.
In addition, this also means if you're in an OSDD/DID system? Cats can smell your switches. DID has some biological components, far beyond switching and alters because of this.
A short blog, and sorry for not elaborating much, but this one video will elaborate on why I love cats better than I can say it.

a more known fact, but the emotional intelligence of cats is striking. different cats even have unique love languages and ways of comforting. pretty sure they can learn to detect different states of mind (like dissociation), but thatβs from experience and not any studies iβve read.

STOP I DISSOCIATE A LOT BECAUSE I'M PART OF A SYSTEM IF THAT DISSOCIATION FACT IS TRUE THEN THAT EXPLAINS WHY ONE OF MY CATS STAY WITH ME OR AROUND ME 95% OF THE TIME
