this morning i had some pastries that i’ve never tried before—a pistachio danish, a cinnamon sugar cardamom swirl braid thingy, and babka. ooh and this sweet italian christmas bread called panettone. ALL made by this super attractive portuguese baker. like not to be me but he’s so fine 😭😭 and he called my sis and i beautiful which made me all happy. but see the problem here is that when he graduated high school i was just poppin out the womb LMAO
anyways of the four new breads that i got to eat, i really enjoyed the pistachio danish the most. and i don’t even really like pistachios! but this danish was like taking a bite out of heaven’s clouds. and the panettone was so soft and wonderful—the baker gave it to us as a free sample and said it was the most delicious thing on the menu, but also takes 4 days to make. that’s NUTS. if i had to spend 4 days making some bread i would simply give up. and that’s precisely why he’s the baker and i’m not 😭
overall i had such a fun time here at this bakery. will definitely be coming back.
